Comments:

This project seeks to help school children of the Umu-Ode community. As a result of a bloody sectional dispute in Oruku town near Enugu, the people of Umu-Ode Community fled their homes and have been living as refugees in the neighbouring towns since 1999.

Owing to this sudden flight to safety, they lost everything: houses, farmland and other sources of income. Now they live at the mercy of their hosts. As a result of this terrible situation, it is becoming increasingly, difficult for them to make both ends meet. The situation will certainly worsen if their children are not able to to to school.

This project seeks to give assistance to pupils and students in primary, secodary and tertiary institutions. We are looking for about Euro 10 or $12 for primary and secondary school pupils monthly. For students in tertiary institutions, it will be about Euro20 or $22 monthly.
