From now on, the PCE- International is on-line.
Our activities in Nigeria especially in Abuja and Enugu can be viewed by all interested persons and groups around the globe. This outing on the world wide web is an opportunity for us to learn from other people in similar situation as ours and also enable us to exchange ideas and information in our areas of operation.
Capacity-building Seminar: The Finance Management, Documentation and Leadership Training seminar for pious societies and church-related organisations in the Catholic Archdiocese of Abuja took off in November 2006. Two deaneries namely, Garki and Gwagwalada were covered. The project will continue but on parish level. This is to give the participants the opportunity to get optimal benefit from the seminar/workshop. The project is being funded by free donations from urban parishes. We are grateful to Holy Trinity Parish Maitama and Cathedral of the 12 Apostles Central Area for their generous support.
The valentine Fever Project:
The valentine Fever Project which is aimed at raising awareness against HIV/AIDS will take place on February 9, 2008 at Arts and Culture, Area 10, Garki. It will feature talks on Prevention of HIV/AIDS and tips on youth empowerment. About 10,000 participants are expected. Nigeria is ranking third on the ladder of prospective danger list on HIV/AIDS. Something must be done and urgently too.
